Mescal's is the perfect base from which to explore the Manning Valley! We have plenty of information and local knowledge for you to plan your day's outings, whether it is for short drives or a day exploring.
Nearby you will discover unspoilt beaches at Old Bar, Wallabi Point and Saltwater where you can take a quiet stroll along the beach, go for a surf, swim, do a bit of whale spotting and enjoy a cappuccino at a local cafe. There are 40 km of magnificent beaches in the Manning area.
The Manning River has 150 kilometres of waterways to explore. Bring your own boat, hire a dinghy, go on a cruise, go fishing or just enjoy a relaxing riverside picnic.
Also nearby are forest trails, parks and nature reserves or you may prefer to take a leisurely drive in the country and experience the beautiful and diverse range of scenery and one of the many spectacular waterfalls in the southern hemisphere, Ellenborough Falls.
There are many local markets, wineries, craft shops, Antiques and Art Galleries to visit in the region and a wonderful range of cafes and tea houses which offer great Devonshire Teas, coffees, or delicious lunches and light meals. Multi-award winning Cafe Bent on Food is only a 15 minute drive away at Wingham.
For those who enjoy a round of golf there are six golf courses within 25 minutes of Mescal's and for a game of bowls, there are 9 clubs to choose from.
Taree is the major commercial and cultural centre of the Manning Valley and only five minutes from Mescal's. Taree offers excellent shopping venues and has many cafes, takeaways and restaurants to choose from if you wish to dine out during your stay. For those who enjoy seafood our local produce is excellent!
