Frankfurt on the Main - sometimes called "Mainhatten" - is a modern city that´s 1200 years young, with lots to offer: banking district with skyscrapers, stock exchange, global playing, international fashion, jazz bars and museums of all kinds. Here, everything moves faster, reaches higher and is "more american" than anywhere else in Germany.
Frankfurt is a city with many faces: cosy old-town alleyways, historic half-timbered houses, the Römer town hall, the so called "Fressgasse" (a street full of restaurants and cafés) and the well known "Zeil" shopping area, the old opera house and St. Paul´s church.
