Hunter Valley Activities:

There are many restaurants and activities in the area and here are a few of our
favorites. We are happy to book any activities for you.

Restaurants:

Leaves and Fishes located on Lovedale road is like an old boatshed looking over a
dam. The menu offers wonderful selection of seafood like dam fresh silver perch or a bucket of prawns.

Tatler in the Vines? Cafe serves up delicious food in tapas style, the perfect place for a long lunch.

Amanda?s on the edge offers an outstanding combination of International and
modern Australian cuisine.
The Verandah has a modern Tapas style menu showcasing the best local produce
served with stunning views across Calais Estate.

Majors Lane Caf? specializes in local produce with fish, meat and game from their
own gourmet smokehouse.

Mojo?s on Wilderness offers delicious meals using the freshest of ingredients and
also has the deli attached which create a memorable meal.

Wine Tasting:

Manzanilla Ridge is located right amongst the boutique Lovedale wineries or a short drive away from the larger Pokolbin wine area. The following are a few of our favourites:

Gartelmanns Wines on Lovedale Road, look out for the Magpie.

Emmas Cottage on Wilderness road also has amazing art on display and yummy pizzas.

Sandlyn on Wilderness road offers a huge varity of Olive oils for tasting.

Tatlers offers not just wines but some delicious beers on tap.

Wandin Valley is in a gorgeous setting and a great place to spot the kangaroos. St Clements is the newest cellar door in Lovedale, located at the start of Talga road and has stunning views to the Brokenback range.

Molly?s cradle has boutique beers on tap and offer great cook your own barbecue lunches on the weekend (or midweek if pre-ordered) in a perfect spot.

We also love our Mount View wines and highly recommend Petersons wines and Briar Ridge

Wine Tours:

Should you prefer to be driven around to the wineries under the guidance
of the experts there are several companies to choose from. James Tours, Trekabout Tours or Hunter Valley Boutique Wine Tours .
Alternatively try a different way to tour like in a limousine
or a horsedrawn carriage or self-ride tour (mid-week only)

Horse Riding:

Hill Top, located on Talga Road, offers horse riding for the beginner to the
experienced rider. Ride with kangaroos and wallabies of a morning or while you
marvel at the sunset in the evening.

Hot Air Ballooning:

There is nothing more tranquil and picturesque as floating over the wine area at dawn.

Golf:

There are many golf courses near Manzanilla Ridge. The Crowne Plaza, Cypress Lakes and the Vintage

Massage and Beauty:

Pamper yourself with a gorgeous massage from Endorphins mobile massages
with therapists who come to the cottage. If you prefer to visit one of the day spas in the area, we can recommend Tea Tree Spa at the Crowne Plaza or The Golden Door at Elysia.

Other Activities:

There is so much more to do in the Hunter, the more adventurous can go skydiving or ride a jet plane The more romantic can take a helicopter trip or walk around the beautiful Hunter Valley gardens. For the foodies the Hunter offers cooking classes, fantastic cheeses, local produces and of course chocolate
