Visit the famous Arthurs Seat lookout, walking trails and Seawinds gardens.
Lose yourself (or the children!) at Ashcombe Maze (Red Hill Rd, Shoreham), one of Australia?s largest hedge mazes set among superb gardens and a forest of trees from around the world. The tea room and cafe terrace serve refreshments all day.
The Briars Park, Mt Martha, incorporates a 1840s homestead (complete with acclaimed Napoleonic collection) with sprawling lawns, gardens and trees perfect for a picnic or a visit to some walking trails. The magnificent bluestone homestead in Heronswood was built in 1871 on the slopes of Arthurs Seat. Cottage gardens have been established on the original 1870s plantings, while the cafe and nursery are perennial favourites.

Natural hot mineral water drawn from springs deep under the Mornington Peninsula feed the pools at the Peninsula Hot Springs in Fingal. An ornately tiled Turkish steam bath, or haman, is the newest addition to the experience which includes a private massage day spa retreat, family-friendly bath house, cafe and choice of natural hot mineral spring pools.
