There are many historical places of interest such as Kilmartin Village, with more than 350 monuments within a six mile radius, Castle Stalker and Dunstaffnage Castle, which are ruined but can still be visited at leisure. Inveraray Castle is in magnificent condition with many interesting displays such as armour, weapons, tapestries and relics chronicling the castle’s place in Scottish history. The hills surrounding Loch Melfort are full of many scenic walks suitable for all abilities and not to forget the varied selection of courses awaiting golfers in and around the Oban area. Highland courses are known for their ruggedness and challenging holes, set amidst beautiful scenery, and are well-maintained with amenities for visiting golfers.
