Your hosts, Pam and Dirk Hos are always happy to give advice on all the local attractions.
The B&B is only 5 minutes from the Margaret River mouth for surfing at Prevelly and Surfers Point, with several other beaches to choose from for surfing and body boarding to safe swimming in sheltered bays like Gnarabup or just fishing.
5 minutes to Margaret River town, with boutiques, gift and craft shops, galleries, bookshops, many fabulous restaurants and 3 excellent pubs.
5-10 minutes to wine tasting at numerous world famous vineyards including Cape Mentelle, Xanadu, Leeuwin Estate, Voyager, Watershed, Stella Bella and Redgate to name a few. 20 minutes takes you to Vasse Felix, Cullens and many more vineyards, as well as award winning breweries such as Colonial, Cowaramup, Cheeky Monkey, Duckstein, Bootleg, Bush Shack and Eagle Bay. Must mention the Cheese Factory, the Muesli Factory, the Chocolate Factory, Gabriels Chololate, Olio Bello, Bettenay Nougat, Grove Liqueurs, Vasse Virgin, Millars Icecream. There is more.
20 minutes to breath-taking caves, awesome karri forests, over 90 other vineyards plus galleries, restaurants and other delightful tourist attractions. Day visits to either Cape Naturaliste or Cape Leeuwin are also popular. Whale watching is available from Augusta during the whale migration season.
3 minutes to the beautifully maintained Margaret River Golf Course or to a secret picnic spot on the banks of the Margaret River.
1 minute to walks around the B&B through tranquil forest where you will feel totally secluded.
Walking/cycle trails lead to the mouth of the Margaret River (5km) and to the town (6km) or just wander through the bush taking in the natural environment. A beautiful secluded picnic and canoe launch spot on the banks of the Margaret River is only 3km away. Professional organisations in the region run tours for canoeing, golfing, cave exploring, trekking and other special excursions.
Wine tasting tours are also popular and if you want to indulge and not have to drive, special drivers at a very reasonable cost can take you in your car to the vineyards and restaurants of your choice, or to a restaurant in town, and then drive you back again.
