The Wye Valley is famously renowned as one of the most scenic landscapes in Britain and has been deservedly designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Visitors can expect to experience a wealth of breathtaking sights, from long winding rivers and fertile countryside to ancient forests and towering mountain tops. The area is perfect for a whole range of outdoor pursuits, whether it be walking, mountain biking, cycling or horse-riding. Llangoed Hall itself provides many on-site activities such as falconry, clay-pigeon shooting, fishing and many more besides. No visit is complete without first taking in some of the many famous local attractions. Not twenty minutes from the hotel is the small market town of Hay-on-Wye. With over thirty local bookshops and home to the world-famous Hay Festival, it is little wonder that it often described as the 'town of books'. Fifty minutes away is the 15th Century Raglan Castle, once home to Henry Tudor and steeped in historical significance it is undoubtedly the finest example of a late medieval fortress-palace in Britain.
