Los Angeles is a treasure trove of world-class entertainment acts, five-star restaurants and top-bill shopping. Here are just a sampling:

Universal Studios – “the grand-daddy” of movie theme parks, Universal Studios Hollywood’s attractions and shows include Jurassic Park, Waterworld, King Kong, Backdraft, ET, Back to the Future and Terminator.

Getty Center - over a billion dollars was spent constructing The Getty Center, which houses a collection of memorable works of art from Greek and Roman antiquities to contemporary American and European photographs.

Hollywood & Highland - A great place to shop and gather with friends in the L.A. area is Hollywood & Highland. Here, trend-setting fashion and gourmet-caliber dining prove that haute couture and beautiful people reign supreme.

Rodeo Drive/Beverly Hills - The stretch of shops and boutiques on Rodeo Drive is synonymous with "elegance" and has long been the shopping destination for travelers. Celebrated clothing designers, including Armani, Christian Dior, Chanel, Ferragamo, Versace, Gucci, Ralph Lauren and Valentino are here and jewelry stores boast names like Cartier and Tiffany.

The Sunset Strip - The Sunset Shopping Plaza features its own assortment of designer boutiques, while the Armani Exchange, Dolce & Gabana, Kenneth Cole Shoes and the Nicole Miller Boutique are all along the Strip.

Melrose Ave. - Since the early '80s, the stretch of Melrose Avenue between Fairfax and La Brea Avenues has defined hip shopping in Los Angeles. The storefronts alone are works of pop art and the dozen blocks are packed with hipsters trying to score the latest cool attire.

Robertson Blvd. - Several blocks from Le Parc Suite Hotel, Robertson Blvd., between Beverly Blvd. and 3rd Street, is where Hollywood hipsters shop. There are Curve's modern edgy outfits, a high-end Maxfield's discount outlet, Maxfield Blue, an Industry MAC store, and a shimmering Giorgio Armani Home store.

LACMA - The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is the premier visual arts museum in the Western United States. More than 150,000 objects in its permanent collections offer Greek and Roman art, European paintings, sculpture, and decorative arts - from the Middle Ages through the twentieth century.

Ahmanson Theatre - Part of the Los Angeles Center Theatre Group, the Ahmanson Theatre is a 2,000-seat marble complex in downtown Los Angeles that shows major productions like the Phantom of the Opera and more.

Los Angeles has many world class restaurants and a sampling of those within walking distance incllude: Knoll at Le Parc, Nobu Los Angeles, Koi Restaurant, Ago Restaurant, STK, Spanish Kitchen, Stone Fire Pizza, Cecconi's, The Ivy, The Palm restaurant, Matsuhisa and numerous others.

  • Quiet neighbourhood, huge rooms, great pool/roof deck area
  • Thin internal walls with minimal sound proofing. Could hear other guests walking around, talking and doors.
  • Staff are very friendly and helpful. In room dining is reasonably priced and good food. Downside is $35 per day valet is a bit on the expensive side.
