Lake Tekapo is ideally located in the centre of New Zealand?s South Island, and conveniently half-way between Christchurch and Queenstown, both being a comfortable 3 hours drive in their respective directions. Timaru, on the east coast, and Mt Cook, west towards the Southern Alps, are both a comfortable 1.5 hours drive in their respective directions.

Lakeview Tekapo is located just a short walk to the lakefront, Church of the Good Shepherd and Lake Tekapo township.
