Kurrimine Beach Holiday Park

Kurrimine Beach is 70m from the park and is a beautiful unspoiled beach, great for walking or just soaking up the view to the South Bernard Islands or Dunk Island.

King Reef, which is famous for its painted crays, is just offshore and is the closest point from the coast to the Great Barrier Reef. It can be easily snorkled to or even walked to during the low low tides. It has great fishing. Horse riding along the beach is also an available option.

Close by is the award winning Paronella Park (The Dream Continues) and the Award Winning Murdering Point Winery. Spend a day exploring the Canecutters Way with its quirky places and interesting characters.

Close by Innisfail is the Art Deco capital of Australia which boasts close to 20 magnificant public art deco buildings and numerous private dwellings from the same era. Visit Flying Fish Point and the crocodile farm.

From Mission Beach (a ½ hour away) there are day trips to Dunk Island and the outlaying reefs, fishing trips or the exciting Jump the Beach experience. You might spot a cassowary crossing the road.

Also close by there is white water rafting on Tully River, scenic Tully gorge, great waterfalls, magical rainforests and the very interesting Sugar Museum. Take a trip to the beautiful Misty Mountains or explore the lower end of the Atherton Tablelands, with the new Mamu Rainforest Canopy Walkway, coffee plantation, cheese tasting, gardens and Tea House, spectacular waterfalls, wineries and the Cathedral Fig Tree amongst other things.
