As the former colonial capital of South India, Bangalore has some great examples of architecture of the period but one of the best buildings to visit is Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace. Bangalore enjoys a relatively cool climate which never peaks too high even in the summer and this means its public gardens are ideal to walk around. Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens spread over 240 acres of land and is by far the most popular green space in the city. The yearly flower show is a colourful spectacle hosted under the famous glass house of the gardens.
