We offer a range of activities, so if you fancy taking a helicopter tour across the falls, a guided tour through the park by the light of the moon, rafting in some of the most beautiful and demanding rapids or just taking a stroll through the park, simply mention it to the concierge.

But your time with us doesn’t have to be all tours and sightseeing, there is plenty of more genial activities to be found on site, with our beautiful pool, tennis courts and spa.

Walks in the Iguassu National Park
As the only hotel located within the National Park boundary guests are invited to join Iguassu Experiences for a number of exclusive walking tours within the Iguassu National Park. The walks, unique to Hotel das Cataratas, take in the surrounding primary rain forest as well as the viewing platforms over the Falls area.

Full Moon Walking Tour
Exclusive to guests of Hotel das Cataratas this unique activity takes in the Full Moon conditions to witness a sight rarely seen by most in their lifetimes – the Lunar Rainbow. Lead by our resident biologist, Wilson Fernandes, this tour lasts for about 90 minutes.

Macuco Safari
One of the best ways to experience the Lower Falls is by high speed boat as part of a Macuco Safari. Starting with a sedate journey by jeep through the rain forest the highlight is a journey up river to see The Three Musketeers and the Devils Throat.

Iguassu Falls – The Argentinean Side
For many visitors of Iguassu, a stay would not be complete without a visit to the Argentinean side of the Falls. Once here you will find a different perspective of the beauty of the Falls, as well as getting closer to the Devils Throat Cataract. Please note there is no private access and the Argentinean side can get very crowded.

Poco Pret
For those looking for a more insightful rain forest excursion the Iguassu Explorer offers a genuine rain forest experience, both on land and water. It begins with an exciting jeep excursion through the rain forest to the Iguassu River where you will then continue by motor boat viewing the many species which inhabit the area.

Helicopter flight
This is the most spectacular way to view the magic of the Iguassu Falls. Ten minute flyovers of the Falls as well as longer 35 minute tours to the Three Borders Landmark (Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay) are offered.

The Bird Park
Ideal for travellers with children, the Bird Park offers a fantastic opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of the South American rainforest at close quarters.

Rafting, Rapel & Canopy Walks
For the more adventurous, and in collaboration with Macuco Safaris, Iguassu Experiences offers a choice of rafting, rapel and canopy walks.
