The beaches of “Paloma” and “Passable” along with the water sports centre offer all the pleasures of a seaside resort, complete with 14 km of practicable footpaths.

THE VILLA ROTHSCHILD - Constructed by Baroness Ephrussi de Rothschild during the Belle Époque, the “Villa” with its gardens overlooks the sea on all sides and offers a unique panorama over the French Riviera. This Palace, a historic monument filled with priceless works of art, has retained all the atmosphere of an inhabited residence. It is surrounded by seven magnificent gardens decorated with patios, waterfalls, ornamental lakes, flower beds, shady paths and rare types of trees.

. WALK ALONG OR AROUND THE CAPE - Starting from the « Promenade Rouvier » (Baie des Fourmis) in Beaulieu, this coastal path offers nice panoramic views (30 minutes to Saint-Jean one way and 3 hours at least around the Cape ).

EZE-SUR-MER & VILLAGE - Eze and its 3 “Corniches” roads. A noteworthy meeting point between the mountains and the Mediterranean. The coast road along the shady shore discreetly shrouds its surprising vegetation. This Eagle’s Nest, perched high on a rocky pinnacle, guards a medieval village which is a witness to history. On top of the 429 meters summit, suspended midway between the sea and the sky, the Exotic Garden overlooks the rooftops and the most stunning panorama in the world. The Grande Corniche Park is a direct escape route into Nature, along pretty scented pathways.

CAP D’AIL - At the gateway to Monaco, with the “Tête de Chien” rocky outcrop mounting guard (480 m), Cap d’Ail occupies a privileged position setting “between sea and mountains”. Renowned as a seaside resort since 1921, Cap d’Ail has obtained the prestigious “Pavillon Bleu” since 1996. The beautiful Mala Beach, surrounded by greenery, is reached by a discreet stairway down the hill side and from the marvellous Coast Path which also leads to the Marquet Beach and the Harbour forming the border with Monaco. Without forgetting the Panoramic Paths, which had been arranged by the National Office of Forestry.

LA TURBIE - From « Mont Bataille » to the « Tête de Chien”, the craggy village of La Turbie overlooks the principality of Monaco and offers an extraordinary panoramic view from the Italian Riviera to the Esterel mountains. La Turbie is an authentic medieval village soaked in history and it owes its fame to the “Trophée des Alpes” (dating back to the year 7 BC), built by the Emperor Augustus to commemorate his victories over the Alpine tribes. The exuberant Baroque style church of Saint Michel Archangel (late 18th century) is worth a visit. The Monumental Fountain (1824) completes this architectural patrimony. Those who enjoy walking or rambling will find La Turbie the perfect starting point for discovering several exceptional sites : the “Tête de Chien”, the “Forna”, the “Mont Bataille”, the Roman quarries, the Sanctuary at Laghet and Mont Agel Golf Course (Monte-Carlo Golf Club).

ROQUEBRUNE-CAP-MARTIN - Between Menton and Monaco, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin was long one of the most sought-after locations by both artists and the aristocracy of the Belle Époque. The Medieval village huddled around the castle rears up above Cap Martin. The walk along the Cape’s coastal pathway takes you to the “cabin” built by Le Corbusier.

CAGNES-SUR-MER - Captivated by its intense colours, Auguste Renoir found artistis inspiration at Cagnes-sur-Mer that illuminated the rest of his life. From his domain with its century-old olive-trees, he could contemplate the Haut-de-Cagnes, which today surveys the seaside resort. This old medieval township, majestically dominated by the Castle-Museum invites you to discover its steep and narrow streets, the houses with their corbelled structure, and the tiny flower-filled squares.

SAINT-PAUL - Perched on a promontory ; sheltered by its ramparts, the medieval village of Saint-Paul is one of the Côte d’Azur’s most illustrious gems. A world-renowned center of the arts, the very lively Provencal village has lent inspiration to many artists including Chagall, Braque, Mito… Its artistic vocation is symbolized by the Maeght Foundation.

VENCE - At the foot of the « baou » escarpments, Vence is a medieval town whose elliptical walls provide shelter for a labyrinth of narrow and picturesque streets. Duffy, Matisse, Soutine, Chagall, Dubuffet and many other artists all had their own way of seeing and portraying its beauty and the riches it contains.

BIOT - Listed « Ville et Métiers d’Art » (City of Art and Crafts), Biot owes its international renown to its tradition of glass-blowing and the production of huge earthenware jars. But the village of medieval origin is also closely linked to Fernand Léger, whose works are displayed in a national museum nicknamed “The Cathedral of Modern Art”.

VALLAURIS / GOLF-JUAN - The town of potters, Vallauris is a unique center of creativity that has cast its spell over many artists (Picasso, Jean-Marais, Pierre Boncompain) who came to learn about “the art of fire”. This traditional activity combined with a mellow Mediterranean atmosphere has made it a place apart on the Côte d’Azur. Every year, Golf-Juan, the pleasant seaside resort, below Vallauris, celebrates Napoleon’s landing on his return from the Isle of Elba.

GRASSE - An important city in the eastern corner of Provence, Grasse is famous as the world capital of the perfume industry. Its unique historic heritage has made it a rare example of well-preserved medieval architecture, while Fragonard, one of its native sons, made its international cultural renowned.

ANTIBES JUAN-LES-PINS - With its Ligurian, Greek and Roman heritage, Antibes has always pursued its incomparable artistic and cultural vocation. Edifices built in the Middle Ages then during the Renaissance enriched a patrimony which has since preserved its Provencal authenticity : Esteemed as one of the world’s major centres of pictorial art, Antibes is a treasure-chest of artworks donated to the town by Picasso, Miro, Calder and Peynet.

CANNES - « Star city » of the Côte d’Azur, Cannes is world –famous for its prestigious events and especially the most important of them all, the International Film Festival during May. Its bay with the two Lérins Islands, the classy Promenade de la Croisette, the palatial hotels and the Old Town of the “Suquet” with its delightful Provencal accents, all make it a really exceptional destination.

VENTIMIGLIA (Italy) - At about 40 minutes away from Beaulieu-sur-mer by car or train, Ventimiglia, Italy’s last town before the border with France, greets the tourist in three different guises, not least in terms of logistics : archaeological, Medieval and modern. In the centre of the town, one finds elegantly eclectic palazzi, well-stocked boutiques, a range of facilities for tourists, excellent hotels and amusements. Then there is the large open-air market held every Friday, a traditional rendezvous for visitors – most of whom come from France – who fill the whole town with a buzz each week, combining shopping and a pleasurable weekend away with a little sightseeing.
