1.Jeondeungsa Temple:
This temple is said to be built by the three prince of Dangun Wanggun is located at Mt Jungjok, Samlangsung (Historical spot no. 130). Although the exact year which it was built is not clear, it was called Jinjongsa, the temple for wishing happiness of the Goryo Royal Family. The current name of Jeondeungsa Temple was made after the Queen of Goryo King Choongryul, when Queen Junghwa gave a jade oil cup for a lamp at the 8th year of King Choongryuls ruling (1282). Daewoongbojeon, cultural treasure no. 178, is a paljakjip (traditional Korean house) which has 3 units on the front and the side. It was built at the 13th year of ruling of Gwanghaegun (1621) and is the best building built in the mid Choseon era. Especially the splendid beauty of the dadjib (a model house held on the seat of the Buddhist idol) decorated on the inside seat of the Buddhist idol presents the ideal level of construction craftwork. We can still sea the traces of the name of the soldiers who fought during Byunginyangyo, at the 3rd year of Gojongs ruling, against the French army with the determination of defending the country on the pillar and wall of Daewoongbojeon, which was carved by the soldiers to wish good luck in the war.
