Full hotel details

Watch the sunset over the Whitsunday Islands, join in with happy hour celebrations when the party boats call in for a few hours and dance the night away. Next day, take an introductory or certified dive with professional instructors in prestine coral just offshore, join a snorkle safari, kayak in the reef, hike the national park tracks, try your hand at fishing, find your own deserted beach, fancy a game of beach volley ball or trivial pursuit, laze by the pool, visit the under water observatory, where you see the marine life up close and personal right on your doorstep. The Island offers some of the best coral reef snorkelling in the region, within 20 metres of the front door. Tropical fish, marine life and fringing coral reefs provide a wonderful laboratory for school groups and student research.
Other possible activities and programmes include:
Marine studies, Geography/Land management, issues of development and environment, Conservation, Tourism, Orienteering, team building and option of visiting other islands to visit within the Whitsundays.

The historical Hook Observatory which descends six metres under water allows study of this magical ocean world. Particularly appropriate for marine biology and environmental studies.
Also located at Hook Island is the “Reef Explorer”, a semi submersible, large enough to take 52 passengers in comfort. With informative commentary included in the tour you can observe the magnificent hard and soft coral and wonderful array of tropical fish and marine life without getting wet!
