With 38 acres to work with, designers had room to be creative. An imaginative aqua network of pools, hot
tubs, natural pond bridges, waterslide, waterfalls and fountains designed by Pacific Aquascapes in
conjunction with landscaper PBR Hawaii allows for privacy and play.
The formal pool has an infinity-edge lap pool with featured terraced lounge seating and semi-submerged
aqua lounge chairs and jacuzzi. The family pool has a sandy bottom, one-hundred-and-twenty-foot
waterslide and cascading waterfall. Natural lava rock forms an elevated jacuzzi. The third pool, the river
pool, features a meandering “river” that flows through smaller swimming holes and playful waterfalls.
Two quiet zones have aqua lounges and covered cabana areas for relaxation. All pools have ocean views.
From tall coconut palms to fragrant gardens bursting with flowers for the picking, 38 acres of lush
landscaping establishes Honua Kai’s distinctive character. Many varieties of tropical and native Hawaiian
plants and trees provide color, fragrance and beauty to the Resort’s tranquil setting. Mature coconut palms
and colorful flowering trees such as gardenias and plumeria dot the landscape surrounding the property.
And green space is maximized for a sense of grandeur.
