It is a small village being distant about three kilometers from the North - East of the old town, located at the bank of Tra Que lagoon.

With the diligent nature, the locals have been being hard - working for a long time to bring about a green vegetable village not only provide Hoi An with fresh one but also consumed at markets in Dien Ban, Duy Xuyen, Da Nang ?

- OPTION 3: Kim Bong carpentry village

Kim Bong belongs to the Cam Kim commune. The village was well known for its carpentry. Most of Hoian old town's architecture was made by their ancestors' from the heyday of Hoian as a commercial port. The technique of Kim Bong carpenters is exceptional. Their work on the head of columns, rafters, pillars, altars, tables, chairs and beds are masterpieces that anyone would admire and give praise to when they see it. The Kim Bong carpenters still keep their traditional alive. Many of them turn to make fishing boats for fishermen all over Central Vietnam. Many are eager to repair and restore old building in town or made wooden statues, wood carved articles and traditional furniture to be sold and exported.
Thanh Ha pottery village
In the 16th and 17th century Thanh Ha was a thriving village. It was famous for earthenware that sold in many provinces in Central Vietnam. It was Thanh Ha villagers who made and provided bricks, roof and floor bricks for old building in Hoian and the surrounding areas.

Thanh Ha pottery villagers are doing the same work in the same way that their forefathers did in the past. In their clever and skillful hands, clay turn to pretty flower vases, tea pots, piggy banks, wine bottles, water jars, kettles, cooking pots or lovely birds, turtles, buffaloes, cats, ducks, etc.
Nowadays many old buildings in Hoian need repairing and restoring and Thanh Ha villagers are the only trusted contractors that can provide standardized bricks, roof and floor bricks exactly like those during the time when Hoian port town prospered.

- OPTION 4 : Countryside Tours In Hoi An ( With Bicycle For One Day )

- Morning : An excursion is given on a flower-garden with ornamental plants. Go along a canal getting through the village to see rice fields and mint farm that can provide green vegetables for Hoi An ancient town.
At noon : Ride along the dyke by the De Vong river to go for a sightseeing of the rural tourist precinct of Ha An. Have lunch and relax in Ha An restaurant.
- Afternoon : Go along the pathway to come into the village, which is a lower section of Thu Bon River and there where is a 7 -acre zone of nipa ( periwinkles ). It is used to be a terrible battle field between Vietnamese guerillas and French and American as well. On the way back to Hoi An ancient town drop in some small restaurants to have sweet soup with corn, fried mussel, and steamed thin rice pancake right in the middle of grilled rice papers. Those are a speciality of Cam Nam village, which is very delicious and cheap.
- Evening: Enjoy the Hoi An full-moon night
Every lunar month, on the 14th day, there is a Legendary Night in Hoi An, when the Old Town is lit by the moon and houses are lit by graceful and colourful lanterns.
On this evening, all kinds of vehicles are lifted off town and all the people, both Hoianians and visitors comfortably walk and enjoy themselves in a new world, the world of Tranquility, Peace, Poetry and Beauty.

Here, in an old house, local poets are enjoying their own poems recited by some ladies in the melodious accompany of a 16-string long zither player. There, in the porch of a family chapel, the traditional orchestra is giving passers-by beautiful tunes of the old days while young ladies are singing out sweet, lyrical folk songs.

- Option 5: CHAM ISLAND
Cham Island is 15 km from the beach of Cua Dai. It has 7 islands altogether named according to their shapes or characteristics. They are the Lao (pear), Dai (long), La (leaf), Kho (dry), Tai (ear), Mo (tomb), and Nom (East wind) islands. The Cham island has a good climate, always cool all the year round, the system of trees and animals here are plentiful, especially sea products. On the island there is a precious natural potential: the bird nests whereas under the water, the strip of coral is quite marvelous to look at.
Beautiful scenic spots are everywhere on the island: Suoi Tinh (Love Stream), Suoi Ong (Sir's Stream), Hon Chong (Piled up rocks), Hang Ba (The Lady's Cave)...Running along the island are very nice beaches with clean white sand and transparent, cool water.

- Option 6: Thanh Nam fishing village ?One day for being local fishermen of Thanh Nam village ?
Thanh Nam fishing village or Con Chai Thanh Nam is established by alluvium of Thu Bon river. People working on the river come here to cast nets, catch fishes, shrimps, crabs and anchorage boats. Gradually, seeing more such convenience, they live and work in peace and the name of Con Chai have dad centuries before.

Come to Thanh Nam fishing village, you will really feel more profound, more specific about the way of living, the way of thinking and making, too so that you can know the daily life of them.
