Bushwalking
The world class Bibbulmun Track stretches nearly 1,000km from Kalamunda near Perth, finishing in Albany. If you want something a little shorter there are plenty of bush walking opportunities along our pristine coast line or the Stirling and Porongurup Ranges.

Day Trips
There are plenty of day activities to do in Albany. Play a round of golf on the world class links course at Albany Golf Club. Visit the world?s largest sandalwood distillery, Mt Romance. Sample award winning whiskey at Great Southern Distillery. Go on a fishing charter, hire a bike or take a cruise on the Kalgan Queen.

Wine and Food
Award winning wineries, local fresh produce, fantastic restaurants and the Farmer?s Market on Saturdays and the Boatshed Markets on Sundays.

Whale Watching
Albany offers exceptional Whale Watching opportunities from June to October each year. Southern Right and Humpback whales can be easily seen in good numbers from beaches, headlands and whale watching charters.

Surfing
Albany offers excellent surfing all year round with the best time of the year being March to June. Try Nanarup, Muttonbird, Middleton Beach or for the more experienced Blowholes or Sandpatch. Albany is in the unique position of being surrounded by bays so there is a break to handle most swell and wind directions.


Beaches, snorkelling and diving
Pristine white beaches, sheltered bays, and crystal clear azure water make for excellent beach going and diving. Try Two Peoples Bay, Nanarup, Gull Rock, Middleton Beach, Frenchman?s Bay or Muttonbird.

History
Albany is steeped in history being the oldest European Settlement in WA. There is plenty to see and learn. Visit The Albany Forts, The replica of the Brig Amity, The Old Gaol, Albany Museum and Whale World.
