The hotel built on the site of the former Lewis Merthyr Colliery, retains its links with the 'Black Gold' Rhondda coal through the collection of historical pictures displayed around the hotel walls.
The Loft Restaurant is not typical of a modern hotel but once again reflects tradition and heritage.
