Gooromon Park is renowned for horse riding excellence and is Canberra?s only accredited Australian Horse Riding Centre (AHRC) offering quality riding instruction from beginners to advanced level for ages 6 to 60 in a fun and safe environment.

Gooromon Park Homestead Caf?
This classic Queenslander is nestled amongst cottage style gardens with the smell of lavender and orange blossoms wafting over the verandah.
The homestead is divided into different sized rooms, catering for cosy soirees in the parlour, private dining or larger events on the verandahs.
With all of the rooms being decorated to a very high standard and featuring many antiques, the Homestead never fails to deliver on its promise of country charm and elegance.

Bike Riding
Bike riding is a much-loved pastime of many Canberrans and the area around Gooromon Park is a great favourite with local bike riding clubs. Most weekends you will find professional and amateur bikers pedalling along Wallaroo and Gooromon Ponds roads.

Fishing and Hiking
The Murrumbridgee escarpment is within 5km of Gooromon Park and offers many adventures such as canoeing, fishing, hiking and other outdoor activities.

Bird Watching
Gooromon Park has an enormous amount of bird life, the farm is home to a wide array of birds featuring Australian parrots, rosellas, galahs, lorikeets, white cockatoos and the endangered black cockatoos, yellow/green budgerigars along with beautiful tiny blue wrens, wild ducks, ibis, magpies, and kookaburras. Many of these birds can be seen most days. Depending on the time of year you may also see our visiting black swans.

The Canberra region produces some of the best quality Cool Climate Wine in Australia and within 5 km from Gooromon Park there are five award-winning Cool Climate Wineries. Tastings are available at weekends or by appointment.

The Historical Hall Village

Located 4km from Gooromon Park is the Historical Hall Village established in 1853.
Historic sign-posted walking tour.
The first Sunday of every month hosts the famous Hall Markets.

Gold Creek Village

Located just 6km from Gooromon Park is the Gold Creek Village which offers some great restaurants and pubs. There is also an art gallery, designer and specialty shops, hairdresser and beautician or day spa. Otherwise you could visit the Reptile Park, Dinosaur Museum, Cockington Green Miniature Village and gardens.
