Aitutaki has many attractions for visitors.

There is a very good licensed restaurant - Tupuna's Cafe - within five minutes walk of the Garden Lodges, which is open in the evenings 6pm onwards Monday to Saturdays inclusive - closed on Sundays.

We are near a well established scuba diving operator - with dives undertaken daily as required.

We are a five minute walk from Tautu harbour, on the main Aitutaki lagoon, where as well as boats and canoes you can see herons and wild duck.

Land tours are also available, going to sites of general, scenic and historic interest.

Lagoon tours where you can snorkel the far reaches of the lagoon and deep sea fishing trips can also be arranged.

Guests staying at Gina’s Garden Lodges can go kite surfing (the season is from June to August) and fly fishing for Bonefish all year round.

The bar at the Fishing Club is at Arutanga wharf and is open from 6pm onwards. Other bars are at the resort hotels. There are good fish and chip and takeaway outlets in Ureia and Amuri - open Monday to Saturday.

Walking is a good way to meet the locals. You can hike up to the top of our highest hill - Maungapu, and get some great views.

You can hire a motor scooter and explore the island - a great way to get around

You can take in an island night at one of the resorts - see the colourful local dances.

You can go to one of the local Cook Islands Christian Churches on Sunday starting at 10am and listen to the magnificent singing and see the locals dressed up in their best finery. An experience not to be missed. We are only a three minute walk from the Tautu CICC Church.

We can book any, or all of these activities for guests, and also arrange to fulfil guest transport requirements.
