Federation Gardens offers self-contained, two-bedroom cottages set in 8 acres of trees and gardens. Each cottage has reverse cycle air conditioning, TV/DVD, kitchenette and dining/lounge. Four Federation Cabins also have wood fires.
Possums Hideaway is a secluded couples only retreat nestled in an old pine forest. Rooms include queen beds, double spa, slow combustion wood heater with friendly possums visitng at night.
Free facilities include a tennis court, indoor heated swimming pool and BBQ area.

The Blue Mountains region is one of natural beauty offering authentic eco-tourism experiences, interactive native and wildlife experiences, boutique shopping, and is a wonderful environment for rejuvenation, health and well-being experiences.
Blackheath is a beautiful blue mountains village with a busy shopping centre providing everything from cafes, restaurants to antique & collectable shops, pre-loved goods & book shops. It is home to delectable gourmet pies and offers extensive automotive services and the surrounding Megalong Valley and Centennial Glen offer a choice of Horse Riding and other adventure activities.
In particular, Blackheath is filled with natural beauty and there are many breathtaking views and bush walks to experience. Govetts Leap and Evans Lookout provide views of the Grose Valley (the starting point for the Grand Canyon Walk).
A trip down into the valley will lead you to Edenderry and Hilary Falls. Evans Lookout also provides a sheltered picnic area. You can also start the Grand Canyon Walk from Neates Glen along Evans Lookout Road and visit Beauchamp Falls.
The town's shopping centre has an extremely relaxed atmosphere. Of particular interest is the Victory Theatre. While the building is no longer used as a theatre, the owners have transformed it into a spectacular antique centre which is certainly worth browsing through.
Blackheath is most famous for it's annual Rhododendron Festival held in November each year. The festival weekend includes some unusual activities such as the Chainsaw Competition. However the Rhododendrons are the major draw card as they are absolutely amazing.
Blackheath also hosts the Blackheath Art Society's Members Exhibition at Easter, the Open Watercolour and Works on Paper on the June long weekend, and the Open Contemporary Art Exhibition (Contempo) on the October longer weekend; the Blackheath Rhododendron Traditional Art Exhibition in October/November, and the latest addition to festivals, the "One Van" Blackheath Puppet Festival, featuring puppeteers from around the state, held in January.
