EXPLORE THE CITY
Learn to find your way around our wonderful city and what we have to offer. Free guided tour of the City (3 hours): Starts 11 am; Where: Walk up to Brunswick St, turn left into Anne St, stop at King George Square and meet at the ramp. Any queries, ask us on check-in.
MORETON ISLAND
Take a guided trip to wonderful Moreton Island. You can choose between the Xtreme Adventure (snorkel, 4 WD tour, sand boarding), or Eco Explorer Tour (4 WD tour, blue lagoon, light house, sand boarding); Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea included, pick up and drop off. Book at reception
MOUNT COOT-THA & GARDENS
About 7km West of the city is Mt Coot-tha. On a clear day you can see all the way to Moreton Bay in the East, and the Glass House Mountains in the West. At the foot of the mountain are the lush Brisbane Botanic Gardens.
How to get there: catch bus 471 from Adelaide Street. Small fare.
SOUTHBANK
Take in the sights from the Brisbane River and catch the City Cat to get to Southbank. Have a swim at Kodak Beach or explore the parklands and endless cafes, shops and markets. Explore the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA), the State Library, and the Science Museum (all free).
NEW FARM PARK & POWERHOUSE
Take a short stroll down to New Farm Park, situated along the river and enjoy the beautiful, fresh surrounds. After, pop into the Power House and see what entertainment is showing, or simply enjoy a drink on the deck overlooking the river. Every second and fourth Saturday of the month, the Powerhouse plays host to amazing markets, offering fresh fruit and vegetables, gourmet treats, coffee and even German sausage!
