| The Downtown Hotel was built in 1981/82, and opened June 9, 1982. The main building was constructed to replace the previous property which burned down in 1980. The original structure, dating from 1902, was well known throughout the North for hospitality and service.
Propertiy renovations were completed in 2002. Within our new structure we have combined the look and feel of the Klondike Era with the most up-to-date safety and convenience features. Being locally owned and managed, we are able to provide better quality control and customer service.
