Sixth generation farmers, Tim and Jane Parsons own and operate these 4 beautiful self contained modern farmstay cottages on their 750 acre, eco-certified family sheep farm at Hamilton. Only one hours drive north-west of Hobart, near Mt Field National Park, on the main highway from Hobart to the west coast.
Curringa Farm has four fully equipped, self-contained cabins for two to eight people. Cabins include electric blankets, wood fires, TV, DVD player, shower, spa bath and selections of magazines/books.

As Curringa Farm is a real working farm there are often lots of farm activities happening that you are welcome to view. There is 4 kms of internal track roads and 1.5 kms of lake frontage for walking and exploring. Bring your own fishing rod, paint brushes or a good book. Check out the 5 ha conservation forest or wander around the farm paddocks to see the sheep and crops. We do offer a formal 2 hour farm tour including morning or afternoon tea to see sheep shearing, working farm dogs, forest walk and discuss the cropping program of poppies and cabbages. 24 hour advance bookings are essential, payment on arrival.
3kms to the historic village of Hamilton has some magnificent sandstone buildings and beautiful gardens. It once had 12 hotels, you can enjoy a meal at the remaining one.
25 minutes to Bothwell, home of the oldest golf course in the southern hemisphere, a whiskey distillery and gateway to the highland fishing lakes.
35 Minutes to Mt Field National Park and Russells falls. Beautiful rainforests and waterfalls, long or short walks, don't forget to stop at the Possum Shed for lunch or coffee.
90 minutes drive to Lake St Clair, via some remarkable views of the Hydro Scheme engineering feets. Be sure to stop at The Wall in the Wilderness to see exquisite life sized, hand carvings in Huon Pine.
