Locally the Mackay Golf Club is five minutes drive from the Resort as is the (local) iconic Eimeo Pub, the Northern Beaches Bowls Club and the Eimeo Surf Life Saving and Sunset Bay Outrigger Clubs. In and around Mackay there is the Blue Water Lagoon, Artspace Mackay, The Mackay Botanical Gardens, the Blue River Board Walk and the Heritage Walk through Mackay. The Eungella National Park and Cape Hillsborough National Park are a great day trip and a visit to the Sarina Sugar Shed is a must. The Mining trail and hay Point Coal Terminal (the largest in the world) are also very worthwhile.
