The Cathedral of Murcia (14th-18th centuries) is just a five-minute walk from the hotel. Its construction reflects different styles, from Gothic to Renaissance to Baroque. Inside the Cathedral you can visit the Museum with its paintings, sculptures, gold craftsmanship and liturgical ornaments exhibition. The nearby pedestrian streets flanked by buildings from the 18th century are worth a look while you are walking around the area. We suggest an excursion to the Mar menor (minor sea), the Manga and Cartagena. You will see the largest Mediterranean lagoon and the most popular tourist area on the East coast in the months of July and August, and all just a 30-minute drive from the hotel. Do not miss the Cartagena harbour. There you will be able to see the Isaac Peral submarine and major discoveries from the Roman era. We highly recommend a visit to the Valle Perdido natural park. In this environment-friendly reserve of pure natural beauty you can visit the sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de la Fuensanta, the hermitage of San Antonio el Pobre and the Padres Franciscanos monastery, and all just a 15-minute drive from the hotel. Another suggested route would be to get to know the wetlands of the Segura River, beginning at Noria. You can go deeper into the Murcian Huerta (fertile and irrigated countryside) and visit the Monteagudo castle and the Pedrera dam that receives its waters from the Tajo-Segura Rivers.
