Enjoy high tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel, which rises regally on the banks of Victoria’s Inner Harbour. The hotel was opened in 1908, before undergoing a $45 million dollar restoration completed in 1989.

Victoria, also known as the Garden City, boasts the mildest climate in Canada. Every February, to celebrate the start of spring, the city undergoes a flower count, in 2005 4.77 billion flowers were counted.
