Exuding warmth, this large, lovingly restored heritage listed (C1870) home with it's unique timber ceilings & staircase, spacious ensuited queen rooms & guest lounge is the perfect base to explore the whole of the Huon Trail.
Relax in the large riverside gardens & watch the platypus, enjoy a glass of local wine on the verandah or enjoy a DVD in the gracious heated lounge. All rooms have heating, electric blankets & tea & coffee making facilities.

-Hartz Mountains National Park, with spectacular views and great walks, long or short & sometimes snow in Winter!
-Hastings Caves & it's thermal pool
-Ida Bay Historic & very scenic Railway
-Huon Wine Trail
-Cockle Creek with it's bronze whale sculpture, which is as far south as you can drive in Australia!
-Bruny Island, so much to see & do!
-Southern Design Centre, a showcase of local artisans creations, watch them working, just 100m up the road
-Forest & Heritage Museum Centre
-Jet boating only 20 minutes away
-Trout fishing, here in Geeveston where you can learn to fly fish for rainbow & brown trout or salmon
There are also local golf & bowls clubs & we can recommend gardens, beaches, scenic drives & even a sheep cheesery in the area.
