Take a three minute stroll to the beach, enjoy a swim or a walk along the dual use pathway that stretches from Burns Beach to Fremantle. Marvel at the magnificent views or relax with a coffee at the Burns Beach Cafe.
There are a number of very good restaurants just a five to ten minute drive away with a wide variety of cuisines to choose from.
Wanneroo Botanical Garden: Only a fifteen minute drive away boasts the largest thirty-six hole mini golf course in W.A. After your game, sit back and relax at Leapfrogs Cafe. Breakfast, lunch or coffee and cake, wood-fired pizza nights and live music.
The Maze: Lose yourself in 32 acres of gardens and parklands and discover a unique range of attractions and games a twenty-five minute drive away.
Joondalup City Shopping Centre is open seven days a week and is a fifteen minute drive. The shopping centre features over one hundred speciality stores, supermarkets department stores, a shopper?s paradise. Food court, restaurants, taverns and the Grand Cinema Complex.
Neil Hawkins Park borders the grassland of Lake Joondalup beside the city centre. This park is famous among the tourists for hand feeding the birds also it has great Barbecue and Picnic facilities, well worth a visit.
Hillarys Marina: Just a twenty minute drive south along the coast, this beautiful Marina has a wide variety of shops, restaurants and entertainment. Take a whale watching tour, or visit AQWA Australia?s largest aquarium and underwater tunnel. The Great Escape Leisure Centre has trampolines, mini golf, circus rides, video games, a lovely swimming beach and water slides. From Hillarys Marina you can take a forty minute ride on the Ferry to Rottnest Island.
Mindarie Keys is a beautiful Marina fifteen minutes drive north. Visit The Boat Ale House, sample beer at the Indian Ocean Brewing Company an award winning brewery. Or take your pick from a variety of boardwalk restaurants.

Yanchep National Park: A thirty minute drive north, Choose a walk trail that will take you through collapsed cave systems, wetlands, beautiful lakes and historic remains. Visit the Yanchep Tavern or have a round of golf at the Sun City Golf Course.
The Swan Valley is one of Western Australia?s oldest wine regions. It is home to more than forty vineyards and is only a fifteen minute drive away. It is a great destination for a day trip. There are a number of local restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy the local wine beer and delicious food.
Whiteman Park: A great place for a picnic or BBQ The park has train rides, motor and tractor museums and the Caversham Wildlife Park.
The Pinnacles offer a great day trip.
Kings Park Botanic Gardens is just outside the city centre and is made up of over 400 hectares of parkland and gardens and is one of the city?s most popular attractions for Perth locals and tourists alike. The park is set high on Mt Eliza with breathtaking views. Why not take the tree top walk and enjoy the panoramic views of the Swan River.
River Cruises: Relax on a Captain Cook Cruise on the beautiful Swan River to either the Swan Valley or Fremantle. They have many options to choose from, lunch cruises, dinner cruises, or wine cruises.
