Branxton House Motel, Hunter Valley

St John's Anglican Church, Branxton - a brick building with a tower designed by J. Horbury Hunt and built 1871-79.
The Branxton Court house - made of brick with a gabled roof, front veranda and symmetrical ancillary offices, also with verandas.

Police station (1880, designed by James Barnet), a symmetrical, single-storey brick building with a front veranda topped by a stepped gabled roof and pediment over the doorway.
On the corner of Drinan and Clift Sts is the old Branxton Methodist (now Uniting) Church (1865).
On the corner of Clift St and the highway is the Victoria Building (c.1860). Originally a general store it is now a coffee shop.

At the corner of the highway and John Rose Ave are some attractive old residences and Branxton Hardware. Brown's Garage is said to date from c.1875.

The Hunter Valley

The Hunter Valley stretches from the Goulburn River and Wollemi National Park to the South right up to Barrington Tops National Park to the North.

The Hunter Valley is one of Australia's most famous wine growing regions as well as a major tourist destination in NSW. The Pokolbin area has a large number of vineyards, restaurants, shops, golf courses and country accommodations .The big names such as Tyrell's Vineyards, Wyndham Estate, Lindemans Wines, McGuigan Wines, Robert's Restaurant.
