1. EXPLORE THE CITY
Learn to find your way around our wonderful city and what we have to offer. Free guided tour of the City (3 hours): Starts 11 am; Where: Walk up to Brunswick St, turn left into Anne St, stop at King George Square and meet at the ramp.
2. MORETON ISLAND
Take a guided trip to wonderful Moreton Island. You can choose between the Xtreme Adventure (snorkel, 4 WD tour, sand boarding), or Eco Explorer Tour (4 WD tour, blue lagoon, light house, sand boarding); Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea included, pick up and drop off. Book at reception
3. LONE PINE KOALA SANCTUARY
130 Koalas to cuddle, handfeed the kangaroos and pat the baby animals at one of the Top 10 zoo’s in the world. Daily open from 8.30 am to 5 pm. How to get there: Bus 445 – 430 Bus from the City or the 445 from Ann Street.
4. MOUNT COOT-THA & GARDENS
About 7km west of the city is Mt Coot-tha. On a clear day you can see all the way to Moreton Bay in the east and the Glass House Mountains in the west. At the foot of the mountain are lush Brisbane Botanic Gardens (free) How to get there: bus 471 from Adelaide Street. Fare (cheap as)
5. SOUTHBANK
So much to do and see, catch the City Cat or Ferry Southbank. Have a swim at Kodak Beach. Explore the parklands and endless cafes, wander around the markets on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Explore the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, the State Library and the Science Museum (all free) then take a spin on the Wheel of Brisbane. If you still have time, learn or watch Salsa street dancing every Friday night on Little Stanley Street
6. NEW FARM PARK & POWERHOUSE
Take a short stroll down to New Farm park along the river and enjoy the beautiful fresh air and sun, pop into the Power House and see what is showing or simply enjoy a drink on the deck overlooking the river. Don’t miss out on the free live music and comedy every Sunday night from 4pm. Every second and fourth Saturday wonder down to the Powerhouse markets. Enjoy the fresh fruit and veg, have a coffee and German sausage!

- No air conditioning and room could not be opened up thru doors as went out on to landing people were using which was noisy - and no security
- Over rated - and should be someone on site when you turn up 3pm on weekday
Hi guys We are located 1.5 ks from the city a 20 min walk to town, we have 10 different eating places 200 meters down the road, coles supermarket, banks, chemist are a 5 min walk. Every room has a secure lock and the front door is locked every night making it very secure. Office hours are 7.30 AM to 2.30 pm Monday to Friday and 7.30 am to 12.30pm Sat and Sunday, we are contactable 24/7 by phone, if you arrive after these hours it is a simple self checkin.
