- Beaches: our local beach offers patrolled swimming just a short walk from the motel. Grab your towel, sunblock and head on down for some sun and sand.
- Swimming Pool: For pool swimming or bathing head to Mount Maunganui Hotpools or BayWave Aquatic Centre with New Zealand's largest wave pool, a 25 m training pool, learners pools, hydroslides, spas, saunas and a cafe.
Baypark TECT arena and Blake Park are both just 5 mins drive away and hold many sports /concerts/conferences and other events.

SURFING: 2 minutes walk from our motel brings you to Omanu beach, a popular beach for surfing. It works on all tides with both left and rights, offshore is South to South West winds and being a beach break, it spreads out the crowds so there is usually plenty of waves for all levels of experience.
Further west along the coast, Tay St and the headlands around Mt Maunganui beaches are popular and can be surfed at all tides.
GOLF: We are the closest motel to both Mount Maunganui Golf club (2 minutes drive or 9 minutes walk) Championship 18 hole course and Omanu Golf club (5 minutes drive) 18 hole course
FISHING: From casting you rod off one of the local wharves or surf casting from the coast to deep sea excursions, Mount Maunganui gives access to some of New Zealand's most spectacular fishing. Reef fishing for snapper, terakihi, gurnard, john dory or kahawai fish. Jigging or live-baiting for kingfish. Target tuna, sharks and marlin or dive for crayfish and scallops.
