At the base of Mt Buffalo and with the Ovens River at the rear of the park, we really are sitting pretty. If you like exercise as well as sitting, the Wangaratta to Bright Rail Trail on our doorstep is ideal for cycling and walking. Mt Buffalo National Park is great for wildlife watching and the nearby snow fields are sensational for skiing. Famous for its Autumn Festival with amazing deciduous tree displays, the whole area is rich with wineries, restaurants and amazing Aussie nature.

We are situated at the foothills of the famous Mt Buffalo, a favourite with both locals and visitors alike. This beautiful mountain has a variety of activities to suit all seasons; skiing, snow play, bushwalking and abseiling to name but a few. The gorgeous scenery, crystal clear waterfalls and sensational views make this an ideal spot for a day's outing. Other nearby mountains are Mt Hotham, Mt Feathertop and Mt Bogong.
For shopping, cafes, restaurants and local history visit the nearby townships of Bright, Mt Beauty, Myrtleford or Beechworth.
For the gourmet travellers there are wineries, micro-breweries, the Milawa Cheese factory, olives, mustards and fresh produce available from farm doors, including such delights as berries and asparagus when in season.
Local outdoor pursuits include cycling along the rail trail, mountain biking, horseback riding, swimming, fishing, paragliding, microlights, golfing, bushwalking and picnicking.
