A major to-do item for the visitor is a half day exploring the Kuching Waterfront route (enjoy the waterfront and its attractions such as the Fort Margherita, Chinese History Museum, Tua Pek Kong temple, Textile Museum, Old Courthouse, Post Office, Indian mosque, Kuching mosque and India Street, Gambier Street, Carpenter Street and Main Bazaar shopping strips). Other attractions in the city include the Sarawak Museum, cat statues, Cat Museum and Satok Sunday Market. Outside the city limits are tourist hotspots such as Cultural Village, Semenggoh Orang Utan Sanctuary, Jongs Crocodile Farm, Annah Rais Longhouse, Bako National Park, Gunung Gading National Park, Santubong and Damai beaches, Borneo Highlands, Sematan, Lundu and Fairy and Wind Caves. The hotel is also in the walking vicinity of specialty eateries such as Tom's, The Junk, Top Spot seafood centre, Heritage Chinese Restaurant and a sprinkling of generations-old hawker establishments. Drinking holes in the area include Ipanema, Mojo, Picadilly's, The Royal Oak and Cat City.
