Take the time to explore our beautiful historic Fremantle port, rich in history from our early settlers to the convicts that built the city and the explorers and maritime men that shaped Fremantle. Take a stroll down the famous Fremantle cappuccino stripe taking in the sights and sounds from the entertaining buskers and street performers to the local rocking music scene.
Fremantle is a rich city full of arts and culture. Visit local galleries showcasing local artists. Or just simply relax with a quiet beer enjoying the sounds and sights of local artists and bands.
Fremantle harbour is only two minutes walk. Take in some history with the Maritime museum, and explore the docks and river front.

Fremantle Prison
For the brave, experience the death and despair of the prison built in colonial times by the convicts. The Fremantle Prison offers day tours, night tours (spooky and only available on Wednesday and Friday night) and under-ground tunnel tours (which includes walking, climbing and kayaking).
Chocolate Factory
For all the sweet tooths grab a free tour of the chocolate factory and indulge in free samples, take the free CAT bus. In the Atwell arcade you can see how lollies are made.

From boutiques stores, art galleries, restaurants, bars and nightclubs, Fremantle’s cappuccino strip has it all. On the weekends Fremantle is alive with shoppers and day trippers enjoying fine food, entertainment and weekend Markets.

Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Enjoy the sights and smells of Fremantle markets hosting a variety of stalls. Why not grab some lunch in the food court while you pick up knick knacks from your travels.
Water sports
Western Australia is known for its sports that revolve around water. World renowned waves to surf in the south west of the state. And great conditions for sports such as windsurfing and kite surfing; a Windsurfers and Kite surfers dream. Snorkelling or diving around Rottnest Island or around one of those many beautiful shipwrecks.
