Podere Zollaio is a small family run Agriturismo, which benefits from spectacular views over the peaceful village of Vinci, the birthplace of Leonardo, and the surrounding countryside. As guests have commented before, "This is the real Tuscany". We are well placed for easy and direct access to Pisa, Florence, Siena and many other historical villages and centres of art. We are a working farm producing wine and olive oil from grapes and olives grown organically, and we were one of the founders of organic farming in Tuscany.

In Vinci you can visit Leonardo's house of birth and the Parish Church of Santa Croche where it is believed he was christened. In the castle in Vinci itself, there are two museums dedicated to Leonardo's designs many of which have been built to scale as working models and other designs built full size.

A short distance away is the historical centre of alabaster production in Volterra which is one of the most important centres of Etruscan history and at Montelupo there are a host of ceramic producers. Being the main areas of production, the items produced here are available at very attractive prices. San Gimignano, with its perfectly intact fortifications, is one of Tuscany's most unique towns and is mostly known for its numerous towers from which the owner would try and stone their neighbour's in order to make their own the tallest. San Gimignano's other claim to fame is its numerous works of art and its narrow streets crammed with shops and restaurants.
You can also take advantage of visiting the antique market in Michelangelo's Arezzo and wander the streets of Puccini's birthplace, Lucca.

Or what about visiting Collodi, where you can find reconstructions of one of the most famous children's fairy tale characters, Pinocchio at Pinocchio park. The family of Carlo Collodi, the wooden puppet's creator, had their origins here.
If you're looking for something different to taste, try San Miniato, which is renowned for its truffles.

For designer shopping with names like Gucci, Fendi and Armani at factory prices we can point you in the right direction.
All around us there are lots of different experiences to sample, so don't just stay in one place, come to us and you'll be spoilt for choice.
