Kaysone Memorial Museum- just minutes from the hotel, it was built in remembrance of the late President Kaysone Phomvihane, who guided Laos into a new economic lifetsyle.
That Luang Stupa- built by King Saysettha in the 1500's, said to hold relics of Lord Buddha.
Victory Monument (Patuxay)- in remembrance of the victory of the monarchs during the American invasion of the 1950's.
Morning Market (Talat Sao Mall)- The perfect place to find a souvenir of your visit including a wide selection of jewellery and Lao traditional weaving and wooden handicrafts.
Hor Phra Keo- Built in 1565 by King Setthathirat, it was a former royal temple which housed the Emerlad Buddha until it was taken by the Siamese in 1779.
Wat Sisaket- The cloister walls features small niches containing over 2,000 silver and ceramic images of Buddha.
Wat Simuang- The most sacred temple in Vientiane, originally established in 1563. Perform a ceremony with the small stone Buddha ad locals believe that your wish will be granted...go and ask for a safe journey home.
