For the kids and kids at heart the snow monkey tour is a must. They are the only known monkey in the world to spend all day taking a bath in the natural hot springs to stay warm! They also have quite a sense of humour. There are many Shrines and temples, like the world famous Zenkoji Temple in Nagano. You can take classes in cooking, art, Samurai culture, Geisha and so much more, it is an adventurous soul's delight.
