All About Rice
This full-day journey will take a fascinating look at how rice is cultivated, its religious significance, and how rice culture ? planting, growing and harvesting ? is linked to temple ceremonies. To the Balinese, rice is a direct gift from God, and consequently is treated with the utmost care and respect. The journey begins with a visit to Subak museum and a tour in the vicinity of the museum itself, including a park, a prototype of a man-made tunnel into a rock, and a traditional house. This is followed by a picnic in a ?bale?, a walk along the padi fields and terraces, ending with a stop at Pura Timan Agung and Pura Penawangan for an insight into the blessing ritual.

Journey of Equestrian Adventure
Located just a few minutes down the shore is a Royal stable run by a noble family. The journey begins in the afternoon with a lesson on horse-riding held at Drift or in the comfort of the pavilion in your own villa. You will learn about how horses came to Bali hundreds of years ago and how they became pivotal to the life of Balinese Royal family and its chevaliers. The horses will be waiting in front of your villa or on the beach. You will set off on a ride through the village, taking you back to the beach towards the peninsula. At the top of the peninsula hill, beside the temple, you can marvel at the beauty of the West Bali coastline in time for sunset, while sipping on champagne.

Journey of Culinary Delight
This half-day journey will start off with an early morning breakfast, followed by a trip to the local traditional market in Kerambitan. This kind of market really showcases the daily morning activities of the local community making preparations for their meals. Here you will find everything from exotic fruits, vegetables, spices and fish to flowers and all the essential elements for canang, the daily offerings. You will be accompanied by the Chef who will recommend some basic recipes for local dishes and, together with you, will select the finest local ingredients which are fresh and locally produced. After shopping at the market you will be invited to the kitchen to join in preparing a local dish with the Chef. Once the cooking is completed, you can savour your culinary efforts in the middle of a breezy, tranquil rice field.

Journey of Discovery
For sporty and adventurer types, this full-day journey provides an exhilarating opportunity to absorb the splendour of Bali?s nature while enjoying thrilling rides across padi fields and terraces, flowing mountain streams and luscious forestry around the foot of remarkable Batukaru Mountain. A soothing and peaceful lunch will be served amongst the fantastic scenery of Jatiluwih rice terraces before you embark on a white water rafting venture. Upon arriving back at your villa, you will be welcomed with a 60-minute reflexology massage or dinner in the privacy of your villa.

Journey of the Gods
This magical one-day journey commences with a visit to one of the nearest temples to Alila Villas Soori ? Pura Penarukan. Then it?s on to one of the most historical sites on Bali ? Puri Kerambitan, followed by a stop at Puri Anyar, a royal residence built in the 18th century and once home to the Prince Regent of Tabanan. Next on the journey are the beautiful Pura Taman Ayun and Alas Kedaton. Of course, a quest of West Balinese temples would not be complete without Tanah Lot. Perched on a huge rock offshore, this temple was built in the 15th century by the priest, Pedanda Bahu Rawuh, or Danghyang Nirartha, from Majapahit Jawaand. Your last call will be the dramatic temple Timan Agung on the peninsula in the vicinity of the resort, where you will be welcomed with champagne and canap?s which you can enjoy while gazing upon the most scenic sunset on the horizon!

Soori Sunrise
Spoil yourself to the perfect half day journey of physical rejuvenation, age old beauty therapies and healthy style living. Improve your balance, elevate your spirits and satisfy your pallet within this half day of Holistic nurturing and nutrients. Rise with the sun and welcome the morning as you breathe, stretch and balance your body with our yoga guru while overlooking spectacular rice fields and ocean views followed by a light healthy breakfast served to you in a location of choice. Indulge in 3 hours of Holistic Heaven with a compact combination of detoxifying and relaxing therapies.
Enjoy a signature footbath and a warm stone massage where heated river stones are used over the body in rhythmic flowing strokes to relieve tension and soothe emotions. They are also placed on various energy points to awaken the body?s natural healing potential, leaving you calm and balanced.

A natural exfoliation of rice bran and coconut is then applied on a heated terrazzo rain shower bed allowing perfectly prepared pores to accept the next pampering step, a full body mask of cocoa, coffee and coconut. The body mask is removed with a steam shower in a mist of blended medicated oils that also open your lungs and open pores to assist in the detoxification process. Once smooth, taut and hydrated, be pampered with an Alila facial. An earthy base of red clay draws out impurities from the skin while skin toning essential oils within the clay are released. A combination of pressure point and lymphatic drainage massage techniques are applied ensuring your skin will look fresh and alive. The afternoon is complete with a divine two course lunch prepared by our Executive Chef in the dining location of your choice.

Pampelicious (Afternoon Delight)
Be treated to an eclectic collection of Asian rejuvenation therapies and healthy cuisine in this half-day wellness package, designed to restore balance, lift the spirits and delight your palate with wholesome goodness. Start the afternoon with a detoxifying Herbal Compress Massage, inspired by traditional Thai herbal compression treatment. A warm steamed compression parcel comprising 14 medicated herbal ingredients is applied to the whole body using an acupressure technique. The herbs help to increase one?s energy, improve the immune system and lung function, while the acupressure stimulates blood circulation and unblocks energy pathways. We then select a body scrub suited to your needs and exfoliate your skin on our heated terrazzo rain shower beds, followed by a steam shower filled with fresh local herbs and essential oil aromas, which thicken the air with a heady and cleansing mist. Cool off with a cold rinse and electrolyte drink.

At sunset, our experienced yoga and meditation guru will take you through a sequence of fluent and deliberate movements to open your mind, loosen limbs, tone muscles and rejuvenate your soul. Then be spoilt with an intimate dinner for two of light, healthy and nutritious designer cuisine prepared by our Executive Chef. Finally, star gaze under the night sky as therapists apply thumb pressure to specific points on your feet to unblock energy flow and promote natural healing. A cup of chamomile tea is left at your bedside to bid you a calm good night.
