Kuching's commercial centres and city attractions are within close proximity from the hotel, and a visit to the following places of interest offers exciting experiences for all.
Modern shopping malls are just a stone's throw away, whilst numerous pubs, trendy cafes and local eateries are aplenty surrounding the hotel.
A 5-minute walk from the hotel will lead you to the Kuching Waterfront Promenade, where you can board the "water taxis" across the Sarawak River to the Malay villages and sample local delicacies at the food stalls. Opposite the waterfront is the Main Bazaar Road, bustling with "old" Chinese shop-houses where you can shop for local food, arts, crafts, antiques including gold! Further down the road, you can find historic colonial buildings such as the General Post Office and the Old Court House, which now houses the Tourist Information Centre and restaurants. Round the corner, you will find the Spice and Textile Streets of Kuching aptly named Gambier and India Street! Spice and fabric lovers will be in for a surprise to the myriad of colours and choices available at an affordable price.
A drive out of the city centre would take you to the Semenggoh Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, just 45 minutes away, where the orang utan sanctuary is located. Feeding times are at 9.00am and 3.00pm. Other day-trip options include a visit to Kuching?s nearest beach resorts and award-winning Sarawak Cultural Village at the Damai peninsula, or a half-day tour of the well-known Bako National Park.
