Established since 1985, Vila Chaumieres is famous for its magical location over the palm-fringed waters of the second lagoon.

Accommodation is in large, deluxe garden bungalows with a queen size bed and spacious living area with a single divan, or luxurious rooms with queen size bed and large balconies over-looking the lagoon. All bungalows and rooms are air-conditioned and have overhead fans, refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities, private well equipped bathrooms and are serviced daily. To ensure the peace and privacy of our guests we do not accommodate children under the age of 16.

The highlight is our award winning restaurant, with tables on decks right over the water, where you can watch local villagers passing by in outrigger canoes or feed the fish, in a fairy tale setting. Dining under a starlit sky protected by a local thatched roof with coconut palms reflected in the floodlit waters, or on the lushly planted garden terrace is a truly magical experience. The restaurant provides a unique South Pacific dining experience, ideal for honeymooners and romantics alike, and is renowned for its beautiful ambience, excellent food and first-class service. Specialties include succulent Vanuatu beef, fresh local seafood and the best coconut crab in Vila.

Situated just 4km from the centre of Port Vila, Vila Chaumieres offers a peaceful retreat to the discerning traveller seeking an alternative to the large tourist resort, but still within easy reach of all facilities and holiday amenities.
