Leave the High Street at roundabout outside Woolworths at bottom of High Street, drive along Newmarket Street to mini-roundabout, turn left, we are 150yds up on your left, right next door to Peter Watson's Garage. From Skipton the Yorkshire Dales, Emmerdale, Heartbeat and Bronte country are all a short drive away. | Things To Do |
Skipton is a desirable year round destination hosting many popular events such as the Dickensian and Medieval Festivals in winter or the summertime Waterways Festival, Sheep Day and Farmers Market. There is an array of different restaurants and bars, traditional and contemporary to suite all tastes and pockets. They have all been sampled at various times by us and we will be only too happy to share our experiences with you. All of these are within a 5 minute walk and many more a short drive away. Whilst visiting Skipton and the Dales, you can explore the Market (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) Skipton Castle, Bolton Abbey, Embsay Steam Railway (is Thomas in town), all a 'must see'. But of course Grassington, Kettlewell (Setting for film Calendar Girls) Emmerdale Country, Farmers Markets, Dickensian Festival, Scarecrows, Haworth the list goes on and on are all nearby. Hazel or Phil will be happy to advise on an itinerary for the day or whatever your time allows. |
