Nicara Lodge, on shores of Lake Rotorua offers 5 star luxury Bed & Breakfast. Spacious and welcoming, away from sulphur smells but close to many tourist attractions near Ngongotaha. Open grounds enable helicopter access or floatplane from the jetty. Full cooked breakfast served alfresco in summer. Complimentary drinks and nibbles in the evening.

The 3 guest rooms are either king or twin configuration. Each has lake views, free internet access, refrigerator, well appointed ensuite, in room DVD viewing and much more.

While in Rotorua, Nicara Lakeside Lodge is your home. Besides your own room, there are many areas in which to relax. The large lounge with its cove lighting and schist open fireplace is a warm favourite. In front of the schist fireplace is the area where guests gather each evening to meet and compare notes, enjoy a complimentary drink and nibbles, savour New Zealand wines or just chat before going to a Maori cultural show or to one of the 100 restaurants within 9km of Nicara Lodge. The bar works on an honesty basis at other times so just make yourself at home.

The home theatre room captures the afternoon sun. It is a very peaceful room with some magnificent elevated views over Lake Rotorua. Here is the guest's computer to download your e mails in case you did not bring your own laptop. There is a Roland piano, selection of games and a very wide choice of DVDs, Videos to fill in any spare time.

Finally there is the Lakeside Lounge which opens out onto a huge deck. Breakfast may well be served al fresco, weather permitting. This is where many start their day and have that first cuppa while your hosts prepare breakfast.

Getting There	FROM TAUPO (SOUTH) As you enter the Rotorua 50km speed zone take the left hand lane, SH5 to Hamilton. Do NOT take the right hand fork to the city centre. Follow SH5 (Old Taupo Road) for 12 km. It joins into Rainbow Springs Road at the major intersection with Lake Road and Clayton Road. Go straight through the lights following the signs to Ngongotaha. Pass the Skyline Gondolas and Rainbow Springs on the left and continue to the major roundabout. Follow the signs to Ngongotaha going straight ahead at the roundabout. Follow the directions below. FROM TAURANGA Take the Tauranga Direct route along Pyes Pa Road. This route from Tauranga is a lot quicker and only 38km to Ngongotaha. At the end of the road turn right towards Ngongotaha travel for 6km, passing Keith Road and Dalbeth Road and proceed down the hill towards Ngongotaha Village. At the bottom of the hill on the left is Waiteti Road. Proceed as per below. FROM AIRPORT Turn left into Te Ngae Road. Continue past the Whakatane turnoff, past Lake Rotoiti. 8.5km from airport, turn left into Hamurana Rd and continue round the lake, past the Tauranga Direct road. Continue past Keith, Oturoa and Dalbeth Roads. At the bottom of the hill on the left is Waiteti Road (23km from airport). Proceed as per below. FROM AUCKLAND (NORTH) As you descend into Rotorua from the Mamaku Hills, at the bottom of the hill there is a large roundabout. Take the first exit to the left, clearly signposted Ngongotaha. You next enter a 50km speed zone, and drive right through the Village passing the GULL Petrol Station on the right. Continue over the railway line, enter the 70km speed zone, and cross the bridge over the Waiteti Stream. The next street on the right is Waiteti Road. This is 1km from the GULL Station. Continue down Waiteti Road to the very end (1km) and here is a “T” junction. To the right is Arnold Street. Take the left hand turn into Ranginui Street. If you go straight ahead you are in the Lake!!! Nicara Lakeside Lodge is 0.5km along Ranginui Street on the right. Number 30. Nicara Lodge is accessible by public bus transport from Rotorua with a bus stop almost outside the door.

Things To Do	Mitai Maori experience & Hangi dinner, Agrodome Sheep Show & Farm Tour, Agroventures, Zorb, Paradise Valley Springs Park, Rainbow Springs, Skyline Skyrides & luge, Hamurana Springs walk, trout fishing, floatplane sightseeing, Wingspan Birds of Prey, Ngongotaha Trout Hatchery - all close by. Then the thermal parks, whitewater rafting, lakes, Rotorua City
