From Jindabyne: Take the Alpine Way into Kosciuszko National Park. Pass the first entrance to Thredbo and take the next, which descends directly down into the village on Banjo Drive. | Things To Do |
Depending on the season, enjoy the following activities in and around Thredbo: skiing, snowboarding, touring/x-country skiing, snow-shoeing, walking, swimming (lake and indoor pool at sports centre), squash, gym, tennis, golf, fishing, bobsled, mountain biking, road cycling, white water rafting, climbing, horseriding. Thredbo has several restaurants/cafes and bars, clothes and souvenir shops. During summer and autumn there are numerous sporting and cultural events including Mountain Bike Festival, National Runners Week, Blues Festival and Jazz Festival. Thredbo is a popular Easter holiday destination, as well as being a prime location for weddings. Enjoy a BBQ or simply relax with a book in the well established, sheltered garden which Banjo Townhouses shares with Kasees Lodge nextdoor. In winter, enjoy the spectacle of the Saturday night flare run from your window. |
