Abby Lodge is a private, secluded and unspoilt, romantic retreat for adults. It is set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens in a tranquil rural setting within 150 acres of wildflowers and natural bushland, tall gums and wattles. The guest premises are modern and each of its three suites includes a king size bed with a spacious double hydrotherapy spa bath ensuite that adjoins balcony areas overlooking the garden. Reverse cycle air-conditioning provides ultimate comfort in all seasons. Breakfast - cooked to order - is served in the guest dining room at guests' choice of time. A hearty three-course Evening dinner - which is served in the elegant dining room - is available. Cost is $55 per person & includes complimentary beverage. For guests arriving late supper items, too, can be provided. Please provide details of your meal requirements in the "Guest Comments' section of the booking sheet. Please note that Abby Lodge is a non-smoking property & smoking is not allowed anywhere at Abby Lodge. Please note, also, that this property is not suitable for children. Guests' animals are not allowed under any circumstances. We accept Major credit cards. Cheques are not accepted. |

| Getting There |
Abby Lodge is located in the country 9km East of Orange. Take the Ophir Road out of town in the direction of Clifton Grove.(Head out of town eastwards along March street [or Byng street which runs parallel to March street but one block to the South] or alternatively Dalton street. Ensure you are on the Eastern - i.e. towards Sydney - side of the railway line). Continue along Ophir Road past the Resource Recovery Centre & over a bridge crossing a creek. Next look for a road sign which reads 'Ophir 21 via Lower Lewis Ponds' Take the next turn to the right. This is Banjo Paterson Way. There is a sign on a post at this junction which reads 'Bed & Breakfast 5km'. Continue for three and a half kilometres or so and then turn right into Strathnook Lane. Continue to the far (eastern) end - watch out for Kangaroos! Then, following the bitumen, turn left and immediately right into the entrance of Abby Lodge. Press the red button on the console by the gate & proceed when the gate opens. Please phone us if you require more-specific details fo how to get here. We can send you this information by email, fax or phone. Please let us know from which direction you are coming. If you are in the City centre visit the Orange Visitor Information Centre - situated on Byng Street near the corner of Byng & Peisley Streets. They will gladly provide you with a map outlining the route here. If you are arriving on the Mitchell Highway from Bathurst you can avoid going into the town of Orange by taking the first street on the right after the 50km/hr sign. This is Lone Pine Avenue. Continue along this road which changes its name to Wakeford Street. Proceed across the 'STOP' controlled intersection (at Icely Road). Continue along this road (Winter Street) until you reach the Tee junction at the end. Turn right here and you are on Ophir Road. The sign on the post at this junction reads 'Bed & Breakfast 9km'. Access to Abby Lodge is controlled by an electronicaly controlled security gate. On-site car parking is provided free of charge. The parking area is 400m from the gate & not visible from the road. |

Taste wines at the local wineries which produce premium quality cold-climate wines. Dine at Lolli Redini in Orange or Tonic at Milthorpe - both one hat rated restaurants. Visit Mount Canobolas - the site of an ancient volcanic eruption. |
