Beechworth House is a 4 1/2 star Bed & Breakfast, set on 2.5 acres of picturesque garden just 1.5kms from the Post Office. With sweeping views east, the property has a large pond, an extensive rose garden, and shady sitting areas. Guest accommodation includes five double, very private rooms, all with ensuite facilities, television, minibar, airconditioning and heating. King size/twin or Queen size bed combinations are provided with quality linen and furnishings. Four of our five rooms are separate from the main house some of which open on to your own private courtyard. Facilities also include a welcoming bright and warm dining room, a guest sitting room which is a special place to enjoy a quiet read in front of the open fire, enjoy a drink or converse with new found friends. Beechworth House is non smoking but a table and chairs are provided to each room for guests convenience. Owners, Tony Amigo and Pauline Cummins are your Hosts who give special attention to great hospitality, as well as providing a unique gourmet experience. Tony is a talented cook and brings a touch of spain to the delicious cooked breakfast served every morning. Freshly brewed coffee, cappuccino or cafe latte, a selection of teas, seasonal fruits and squeezed orange juice complement Tony's ever changing array of gourmet treats and homemade goodies. Picnic Hampers are another treat offered to guests at Beechworth House. Enjoy a sumptuous picnic lunch at any one of the many picturesque sights in the Beechworth area. |

| Getting There |
Beechworth can be accessed via the Hume Freeway and is only 30 minutes from the rural townships of Wangaratta and the sister cities of Albury-Wodonga on the beautiful Murray river. Regular Melbourne to Sydney train and bus services operate through these towns, with connecting buses into Beechworth. Those who wish to fly can access domestic flights via Albury airport and hire cars are available. Finding Beechworth House From Melbourne turn right and from Albury turn left at the Post Office into Camp Street. Cross over the bridge and up the hill. Turn left at the road to Stanley. Dingle Road is the 2nd Street on the right. Beechworth House is prominently located on the right and is 1.5kms from the Post Office. |

| Things To Do |
Beechworth, Victoria's best preserved historic gold mining town, contains a rich legacy from our last century. More than 32 buildings are listed by the National Trust including the Powder Magazine, Beechworth Cemetery and Beechworth Court House, where the infamous Ned Kelly stood trial. Beechworth is conveniently located near Victoria's ski fields and Alpine areas. Beechworth is a great stay-over point for day trips into the surrounding townships of Bright, Rutherglen and Milawa, all offering their own special experiences for those visiting the region. Wine, fresh local produce and wonderful eateries are a feature. Many local festivals abound. |
