The Menzies is a contemporary hotel located in historic Bakery Hill. Recently upgraded to a Quality Inn and Suites property by Choice Hotels, "The Menzies" is a 4 star property with 20 modern spacious rooms with modem points for laptop computers. All rooms are connected to AUSTAR cable TV. All rooms have queen size beds, full size fridge/freezer and microwave ovens. The Menzies features 5 different types of accommodation for the corporate traveller or holiday traveller and also offers safe off street car parking. The Menzies also has townhouse self contained two bedroom apartments ideal for families. Breakfast is available at an additional cost. The restaurant is temporarily closed due to a change in management |

| Getting There |
From Melbourne Airport - via the Western Freeway to Ballarat. Take the city centre exit and travel down Victoria Street to the roundabout with MacDonald’s facing you - approx 5 kms. Turn right at the roundabout and the Menzies is located opposite the Australia Post business centre. Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. From Adelaide- Travel to the city centre and Sturt Street and head towards Melbourne. Follow Sturt Street around the Bridge Mall via Curtis Street and turn left at the roundabout at the intersection of Curtis Street and Humffray Street. The Menzies is the second property on your left as you turn the corner into Humffray Street. By rail - Proceed to the intersection of Mair Street and Lydiard Street North. Turn left into Mair Street and travel down the hill to the intersection of Humffray Street North and Mair Street. Turn right into Humffray Street North and travel a few metres and the Menzies is located on your right. |

Off street car parking is available at one car space per unit. Motel land immediately adjacent can cater for other guest's vehicles, trailers, visitors etc. |
| Things To Do |
The Menzies is located in the heart of the central business district and historic precincts. All major retail outlets and business centres are accessible on foot. The Menzies is a 5 minute car ride from Sovereign Hill and the Botanical Gardens and Lake Wendouree. The Wildlife Park is also just a 5 -10 minute car ride from the Menzies. |
