The Four Star Regent Hotel is conveniently located left next to the Central Railway Station. In just a few minutes walking time you will reach the famous pedestrian zone with its many shops and department stores, as well as all cultural institutions like the Royal Residence (Bavaria's Treasure House), the State Opera and the Old and New Pinakothek, where you can view superb art collections. Also you may use the extensive subway and bus systems to reach the many other places of interest like Nymphenburg Palace or the Royal Castle of Herrenchiemsee. The Hotel Regent is located just in front of the Central Station. Subway, tram, bus and suburban train stops are only a few strides away. Also there is a taxi-stop just in front of the Central Station. By Air ------ Munich International (MUC). Then: *** S-Bahn (Local transit trains lines 1 and 8) to Main Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof). Follow the signs with DB on them to reach the main Train platform then turn right (North Side - Nord), keeping the train platforms to your left and follow to the exit. The hotel is accross the street, to your left, in the corner between the Arnulfstraße Street and the Seidlstraße Street. *** Lufthansa operated shuttle bus service outside terminal 1 terminating at the opposite side of the Main Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof). Go across, through the station building to the opposite exit. The hotel is accross the street, to your left, in the corner between the Arnulfstraße Street and the Seidlstraße Street. *** Taxi from outside the terminal, direct to the hotel (any of the waiting taxis in line will be happy to take you to town) By Train -------- To Munich Main Railway Station (Muenchen Hbf). Munich is a cosmopolitan city and a cultural and shopping mecca. The highlights of Munich's calendar are the beer swilling Oktoberfest and Christmas, when the traditional markets are filled with festive foods and gifts. The hotel is ideally situated for shopping, Neuhauser Street has a wide variety of well-known chain stores aswell as numerous antique shops, and the Deutsches Museum is only a ten minute tram ride away. In the evening, you can walk around the famous Marienplatz. Alte & Neue Pinakothek are also nearby. You will enjoy your stay on shopping, sightseeing the beautiful Bavarian Capital, endulging on the local food and drink delights, day trips to the Alps, or the rest of Bavaria, these are all at your disposal.
