Getting There	Santander can be reached by plane, train, bus or car. Plane: The Aeropuerto de Parayas is connected with the center city by taxi and rental cars. Train: All the trains arriving in Santander, have the same final station destination, located in the main city center. Taxi: The taxis from the airport to the center of Santander cost approximately 7 Euros. Car: Santander has two main arteries into the city: from the Meseta and Asturias by the A-67 and from Bilbao by the Autovía del Cantábrico A-8.

Things To Do	Santander is a relatively young city, being that it was reconstructed after a great fire destroyed it in 1941. For this reason, there are not historical buildings. There are quality museums like the Pre-historical, the Oceanográfico, the Menendez Pelayo Library, The Palace of the Magdalena etc. For those who like to walk, you can get to know the city with a magnificent walk along the Paseo de Pereda passing by Reina Victoria till reaching the El Sardinero, a wonderful boardwalk along the water. Cantabria is one of the most spectacular provinces in terms of tourism. It offers a wide range of mountain and coast paths, routes through the Pyrenees, through the Reserva del Saja, through the beaches of Cantabria, through Medieval Cantabria, etc. Activities: Horseback riding. Visit to the cave of Altamira. Cabárceno Natural Park.
